Open Song | Playing a Song | Create or Edit a Song

The Song Player enables you to learn how to play a song, by playing the sound and showing the fingering on the virtual fretboard.

You can use the player to open PG3 files and then play, transpose and print lyrics with chords.

Opening a Song
You can open any PG3 file that came with the software and you can also download songs from several websites.

To open a Song, follow the steps below:

Click on Open Button (Ctrl+O)

Select the song file (.PG3) and click on Open


The software will open the file, showing the lyric on the bottom part of the screen. After that, you can start playing the song.

Playing a Song
To play a song, first
Open the song file.

After clicking on Play Button, the software will start playing the song. It will show the chord structure, for your left hand and also the right hand actions.

The software offers many features so that you can learn faster how to play or practice in the way you like most.

View Mode
You can select the view mode: Fingers, Notes os Intervals can be displayed, making it easy to learn.



Tempo
It´s also possible to configure the Tempo, so that the song can be played more slower or faster. Depending on your playing skills, set it just like you need.

Position
The Position slider enables you to navigate through the music.

You can also set the volume of the sound, just by rotating the sound button.

With the Transpose button, you can transpose the song as you need.

The SongBook view enables you to view the lyric with the chord diagrams, just link in songbooks.

The Print button lets you choose what you want to be printed: lyric, chord and chord diagrams. It also lets you preview your choice.

The Volume selector lets you control the volume, just link in your tradidional stereo sound.



Controls

These buttons enable you to take control on how the music is played. You can stop, start playing, create a loop and pause.

The rewind and forward are very useful when you want to go directly to a specific part of the song.

The loop feature is important when you need to practice a specific portion of the music. When you want to start a loop, click once on Loop Button. When you want to finish the loop, click on the button again. The loop region will continue to be played until you click again on the loop button and disable it.
